After my 9:10 Chemistry class and a short hour of work, I was able to finally go home for a few days. My dad and I took a hour and a half drive from school to my house and decided to meet my mom at the mall, so I got to do a little shopping before Black Friday!
Here is the view from the mall once we left. Isn't it gorgeous?! :

Taken at sunset in the parking lot of the mall. |
Then, we went to the Movie Tavern and watched Mockingjay Part I. Totally loved this movie and didn't know whether to cry, scream, or cheer after watching it. It was pretty late when we got home, so I just tried to edit my research paper and went to bed fairly early.

Thanksgiving! Yay! You know the drill: food making, family dinner with the cousins, etc. We had the hardest time finding chow mein though, lol. (It's a Quirit/Freitas family tradition to have noodles during holiday dinners) Even though we couldn't find noodles at the end of the day, our plates still looked amazing.

Like every other typical teenage girl, I kinda went crazy on Black Friday. Definitely did some financial damage. Thankfully, I got out of the mall without spending all of my monthly check.! The day began at about 10:00 and lasted for at least 2 hours until everyone in the family got irritated by the lines and crowds of people. Here is my little mini haul of the items I purchased on Black Friday and the deals I got on them:

Shopping bags = one happy Jordyn ;) |
So to start the mini-haul, I thought I would like to show you the bags from the trip. I ended up shopping at:
- Pac Sun
- Urban Outfitters
- Barnes & Noble
- Walmart (since i'm adding this in the picture)
Here is the haul! Let me just note that I am very proud of myself and these purchases. Normally, it takes a lot out of me to spend my own money on clothes and just anything for that matter. Plus, I purchased all this in under 2 hours I think!
1. Not That Kind Of Girl by Lena Dunham - regular $24.56 40% off with BN Membership
(You have probably seen this read on the Instagrams of Sam Smith and Lauren Conrad! I decided to pick this book up for the plane ride I will be taking soon to go visit family. From what I heard, Lena Dunham is really relatable and gets straight to the point in her words of advice. Some topics she addresses in this novel are relationships, career goals, friendships - basically any girl problem you can think of. Maybe i'll do a review on it after I finish.)
2. Bullhead High Rise Skinniest in Aster Indigo and Bullhead Low Rise Skinny in Aurora Indigo - regular each $45 buy one get one free
(Talk about the best jeans ever! Pac Sun never disappoints when it comes to jeans. Okay, so I decided to get a normal dark wash in a low rise. Btw, this is the normal style of jeans I wear on a weekly basis. Then, I decided to go a little out of my comfort zone and get a pair of high rise jeans in a lighter wash. Turns out it is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE pair! Definitely going to pair this up with the Brandy crop top I just bought.)
3. Urban Outfitters Batwing Cardigan in Ivory - regular $49 bought for $15
(Believe it or not, I made this purchase in about 15-20 minutes. This cardigan is adorable. The shape of it is perfectly chic, especially for a cool day. Plus, it's warm and cozy. Very great buy and best deal on an individual item!)
4. Brandy Melville Red Striped Crop Top and California Baseball Tee - regular $25 each buy one get one half off
(Yes new tops! Thank goodness for Pac Sun and their Brandy section! I had been debating on the red striped crop top for weeks now, so it was long overdue. The California baseball tee, if you are curious, says "you flew here, we grew here" which is totally adorable. Both are very good tops to wear on a casual day outdoors or going to run errands.)
5. Candy Shell Speck Case in White/Gray - regular $35 bought for $10
(If anyone knows the struggle of finding cute cases that protect the screen of your phone, it is most likely the iPhone 5C owners. This case was purchased during the mid-thanksgiving Walmart trip and has been debated upon for weeks now. Right now, I am not using it just because I bought a case very recently before this, but right when it starts to get funky, I will change it.)
Hey again! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this little mini-haul. If you have any questions or you wanna just talk, you can always follow me on Twitter @shaka_baby. Be prepared for a What's in My Carry On post and a maybe a short vlog from Hawaii. Can't wait to see what y'all think.
Thanks for reading, love ya,
Jordyn
